Digital Aquarium

In this project, we developed a digital stage for children's drawings. Children draw fish (or other motifs depending on the stage) on paper and photograph them via a QR code directly with their phone camera. Shortly afterwards, their drawing swims across the big screen, fully animated.

The photos are cut out fully automatically by an image AI: the drawn animal is extracted precisely and placed on the stage with a transparent background. There it moves along random curves, with changes of direction and a depth effect that creates foreground and background.

A moderation view lets operators keep an eye on all active drawings and remove individual ones from the stage with a click. Motifs, backgrounds and upload limits can be freely configured per stage, ideal for fairs, museums and events.
